Francis Lorentz chairs FL Conseil as well as the Supervisory Board of IT-Translation, an investment fund created by INRIA. After beginning his professional life at the Treasury Department, then at Lyonnaise des Eaux, he headed the BULL IT group from 1982 to 1992. He was Chairman of the RATP then associate professor at the University of Paris-Dauphine.

Assigned by the French government in 1997 to set up and lead the “Electronic Commerce Mission”, he simultaneously chaired one of the first Internet incubators.

From 2000 he was a member of the Comex of Galeries Lafayette in charge of the Group’s digital activities (e-Laser). Francis Lorentz was Chairman of IDATE DigiWorld from 2000 to 2011. He also founded and chaired from 2005 to 2017, LD&A, an investment bank specializing in “digital” companies, which, after merging with its American partner, is became Drake Star Partners.
